Graduated from Durham University with a first class degree in Earth Sciences (MSci) in June 2017. Between then and beginning the DTP in Environmental Research, attended a week long summer school (academic conference) in Burgos, Spain called S4. This included meeting other PhD and Post doctoral level researchers involved in speleothem/stalagmite/paleoclimate research as well as attending 10-15 lectures from industry leaders.
Current Research
Proposed project is in early stages of development, as with the nature of the DTP. Currently aiming to study stalagmites in Morocco and other regions of North Africa to look at past climates of the past ~120,000 years. This may then apply to considering climatic conditions which allowed early modern humans to migrate out of Africa and into the Near East.
