Jesus College is located in the heart of the city with easy access to departments, libraries and local amenities. In 2021 we will open our new Northgate House building (on our main site) which will include accommodation for postgraduate freshers, a postgraduate Study Room, cafe, Multifaith Room, gym, and Digital Hub which will facilitate multidisciplinary activities within Oxford and beyond. The Hub will promote wellbeing activities and employability sessions focusing on skills and matching students to alumni for mentoring opportunities.
In addition to the new accommodation in Northgate House, the College offers accommodation to its postgraduates at its flats located in attractive surroundings on the Woodstock and Cowley Roads.
The College has an Equality and Diversity Committee chaired by its Equality and Diversity Fellow which works on ensuring the College is an inclusive space, attracts diverse students and staff, and overseas events promoting diversity. The College has very good wellbeing support in place with a Welfare Officer among other members of its Welfare Team.
The MCR (postgraduate Common Room) has an Environmental Rep and the MCR works closely with the College on sustainability issues, including food.
Postgraduates are well supported with an annual research allowance of £800 plus access to other grants for books and travel.
