As humanity makes the transition to renewable energy, we are facing a rapidly increasing demand for rare metals. However, traditional mining is associated with environmental destruction, pollution and high carbon emissions. How can mining become a green industry? What are the new and novel technologies allowing for low carbon metal recovery with limited impact on the surrounding environment? What are the challenges for upscaling these to mining's global supply chain? Come along for an informative and evocative discussion by experts at the cutting edge of these critical questions.
